We loved our time with Krystin and John. We started the day with the girls getting ready at the Wyndham and then bee lined it to John’s family property for the first look and portraits. We’re all for incorporating sentimental spots into the timeline and it didn’t hurt that the property was beautiful. It was adorable watching John turn around and see his bride for the first time. From there it was back to the beach for the ceremony at The Galilee Church followed by one of our favorite reception venues, The Water Table. The day flew by and before we knew it we were watching them pull away from the dock. They actually left by fishing boat, how cool is that?!

Wow, what an amazing way to kick off the wedding season! This wedding was extra special to us because it took place at our very own wedding venue, The Tar Roof. With us hosting the wedding as well as shooting we were able to spend more time with Alex and Chris leading up to the event then we normally get to. Multiple planning meetings allowed us to really get to know them (and their families) so when the actual wedding came around, we truly felt like we were watching a couple friends tie the knot (literally). Both Alex and Chris are incredible humans. Alex, a nurse, puts everyone else first and Chris would do anything for Alex. Together they’re perfect. We’re so happy we were able to be a part of their special day and we hope you like their photos!

I wish we could take credit for the concept of this engagement session, but it was all Stacy. We took a little tour of their favorite Virginia Beach activities which included bike rides, sunset views on the inlet, coffee, lots of laughs, and maybe a little whiskey. Stacy and LG, we are so so happy you have found each other. Having known both of you for quite some time, I can say without a doubt that y’all are perfect together and we couldn’t be more excited for you. Congratulations !!!!!!!

We are totally swooning over this “day after” session with Kirsten and Ryan. They had a whirlwind courthouse nuptial two days prior and naturally never had engagements shot so we made time at the end and got the best of both worlds. We all connected right from the start and before we knew it, two hours had passed and the session was wrapped. Both Kirsten and Ryan are givers. She’s a fourth grade teacher and he’s in the military so we were truly honored to be able to capture these for them. We hope you enjoy!

We love this time of year as we really get to dig in to some fun engagement sessions and get to know our future brides and groom that much better. We drove to the Norfolk Botanical gardens for Amber and Sean’s session and found some really cool and unique nooks. The gardens are gorgeous this time of year but some of our favorites actually came from the surrounding greenery. This location requires a lot of walking which was perfect because it gave us plenty of time to “hang out” with them! Amber and Sean are just so natural together. They really enjoy each others company and so did we!
