Our 2016 wedding season ended with a gorgeous sunset ceremony over looking the North bay in Sandbridge, VA. We loved spending time with Jordan and Kyle. Jordan is the type of person that greets you with a huge smile every single time you see her and Kyle is reserved but you know within moments how good of a guy he is. They exchanged “I do’s” in front of a packed tent filled with friends and family, as the sun dropped towards the marsh line. The sunset was beautiful but all eyes were on them and there wasn’t a dry eye in the place.

Owning a business with your spouse is amazing, fun, stressful, and hard all rolled into one. Sometimes it can be difficult to separate work life from home life so it’s imperative to invest not only in your business, but in yourselves as well. It’s important to remember that without remaining connected to our own love story, we can’t truly tell our clients story. We’ve been coming to this little cabin in the woods for 8 years now and it never gets old. No computers, no internet, just us and the mountain. Here’s a few images from our latest escape. We hope you enjoy!

Wow, where do we even begin with these two? We first met Skye when she was the Hair and Make up gal at a previous wedding. She and Josh were also guests and after seeing how much fun they had that night, we knew their wedding was going to be a riot. Especially after hearing her all star vendor list with some heavyweights like DJ AETGY, EJ Bollman and Chris Hall, As you wish VA, and Iron Clad media. The week of the wedding, we knew Skye was feeling the stress, so we decided to attend the rehearsal and see if there was anything we could do to help put her at ease. Thankfully we did, because after a mini-crisis with the scheduled getting ready location, we happily offered up The Tar Roof’s bridal suite as an alternative. We may be biased but we LOVE shooting there. I really can’t get over how amazing the people Skye and Josh surround themselves with are. The bridesmaids were so invested in Skye, Both families were as nice as could be, and all their guests were there for one reason, to celebrate Skye and Josh. The wedding itself lived up to every expectation and it was an absolutely perfect night. Can you guys do a vow renewal already so we can party again?!

This was such a fun day and one we looked forward to for quite some time. We first met Lea and Joe at their engagement session on Lea’s family property and we connected right from the start. They are both just genuinely good people. We laughed a lot (Joe’s pretty funny) and knew their wedding would be just as fun and we were right. It’s so nice to spend such an important day with down to earth people like themselves and all of their family. Lea and her mom spent a lot of time ensuring every decoration and detail was perfect and they definitely succeeded. Congrats again Lea and Joe!
